AOL is talking with top MSOs about bundling its portal services with cable’s HSD lines; the ISP has a similar arrangement with Time Warner Cable’s "Road Runner" play. The co- branded AOL/Road Runner offering is being tested in TW’s Raleigh, NC, division for a limited-time price of $29.95/month. On a standalone basis, Road Runner HSD costs $44.95- $59.95/month. UBS said any talks would be a positive for AOL and cable, helping the ISP to "solidify its sub base" while giving MSOs "another product in their bundled offerings, which would further differentiate cable … from satellite."
