Nickelodeon is teaming with Bill Clinton’s foundation and the American Heart Assn on an annual $30mln initiative aimed at healthier kids. The Alliance for a Healthier Generation will encourage kids to eat wiser and exercise to avoid obesity. Viacom’s The N and Nick GAS will be involved, too. "Nick will make sure you know how to lead the way (to avoid obesity), and it’s fun," a svelte Clinton told tweens at a press briefing. He left without taking questions, but will join "Nick News" host Linda Ellerbee for a "Fight To Be Fit" special (Nick, Nov 13). Nick shows will be invited to develop eps with obesity themes, and other specials on the subject will follow, Nick Nets pres Herb Scannell promised. "We may expand this campaign" to MTV and Current, AHA president Robert Eckel said. – CableWORLD’s Simon Applebaum
