Bridgewater Systems has been selected by four U.S-based WiMAX service providers to deploy the Bridgewater Service Controller for the commercial launch of broadband services to over 500 un-served and underserved communities.

The company also announced that it has received the U. S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development acceptance for the Bridgewater Service Controller including the Prepaid Integrator Module, the Policy Controller, and the Subscriber Data Broker. The Bridgewater Service Controller authorizes and authenticates subscribers and provides accounting functions. It is fully compliant with the WiMAX Network Working Group Stage 3 specification and includes advanced features such as over-the-air provisioning, support for casual usage business models, and lawful intercept requirements.    ?
Bridgewater has also unveiled its comprehensive Long Term Evolution (LTE) product suite. New products generally available include the Bridgewater Home Subscriber Server and Policy Controller which are both anchored by Bridgewater’s Subscriber Data Broker and are fully compliant with the Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) Release 8 Standards.
