NAMIC hopes to make its East Coast Creative Summit an annual event, pairing it with the West Coast Summit, now in its second year. The East Coast event begins today with a panel headlined by Black Family Channel prod CEO Robert Townsend, AZN TV svp Peilin Chou and TV One svp Susan Banks. Also participating today: Oxygen svp Brigitte McCray, HBO Family chief Dolores Morris and "Lackawanna Blues" writer/producer Ruben Santiago-Hudson. The goal of the Summit is to showcase diversity on and behind the scenes of cable programming, as well as generate opportunities to expand that diversity. – CableWORLD staff report
