BigBand Networks has announced the availability of its Broadcast Video Services Software 3.0, which supports the increasing demand for advertising on high definition (HD) content and growing HD program line-ups enabled by Switched Digital Video (SDV).

The upgrade to the installed base of Broadband Multimedia Routers (BMR) enables customers to deploy up to 150 percent more HD advertising and process up to 140 percent more individual HD program streams on deployed and highly reliable network infrastructure.
