BigBand Networks announced today the commercial deployment of its video IP solution, vIP PASS, to deliver IPTV services to PCs and IP set-top boxes over DOCSIS 3.0 cable modems with LG Powercom in Korea. LG has more than 2.3 million subscribers and offers IPTV and high-speed Internet data services via optical cable and HFC.  The company has built more than 60,000 km of HFC networks nationwide in Korea.

In other BigBand news, the company has shipped 500,000 edge QAM modulators, including the current BEQ6000.
