BigBand Networks has expanded its presence in the European cable market to deliver IP video solutions through a reseller partnership with Technetix Group, a European broadband cable and telecommunications equipment supplier.? ?Through this partnership, the companies can provide a turn-key, integrated approach to IP delivery that includes BigBand’s vIP PASS, an end-to-end video IP delivery platform and CVEx (Converged Video Exchange), an intelligent software control plane that facilitates convergence between different video applications and end-user screens.

“IP video continues to proliferate worldwide as the number of broadband connections grows, bandwidth speeds are getting faster and mobile connectivity drives towards ubiquity. Consumers, especially younger generations, are experiencing what is possible with the rapidly expanding list of IP-enabled TVs, PCs, and handheld consumer electronics devices,” said Ray Fitzgerald, VP of global cable sales for BigBand, in a statement.
