BigBand Networks shipped 140,000 edge QAM modulators inclusive of all its platforms in 2007, nearly doubling its total from 2006. Highlights of BigBand’s QAM shipments in 2007 included:
• Introduction of the BEQ6000 universal edge QAM
• Expansion of SDV deployments, including initiation of its first SDV deployments in Motorola set-top box environments
• Use of the BEQ6000 to deliver IP voice and data services in deployments of modular CMTS (M-CMTS)
• Initiation of the company’s first deployment of SDV and VOD in the same cable system leveraging the BEQ6000
