As wireless operators continue to migrate to 4G networks, it’s vital they have access to accurate timing sources while at the same time continuously monitoring service performance. The Syncjack suite from Adva Optical Networking suite delivers precise timing synchronization and assurance across mobile backhaul networks.

Syncjack features SyncE and IEEE 1588v2 functionality “guaranteeing highly accurate delivery of timing information across any network,” the company adds. It includes a synchronization-network-management platform focused on predictability and quality assurance. A toolset allows operators to display the synchronization network topology, to monitor and test the quality of the delivered timing information continuously, and to analyze and troubleshoot the network in case of quality impairments.?

According to CTO Christoph Glingener, “Synchronization and assurance on one platform is something that has not been done before. Syncjack is the missing piece. It provides in-depth understanding on the performance of the timing network and this is critical when leasing backhaul connectivity. Yet it also offers automated test-and-measurement capabilities that significantly reduce operational complexity.”?
