According to a posting in the Bell Satellite TV forum, customers received a note with their recent bills, notifying them that as of August 18, interactive TV services will no longer be available. According to Bell’s Website, its iTV services allow subscribers to access on-demand information and enhanced content using their remote controls. It uses the subscriber’s digital receiver to provide on demand news, sports and weather, a variety of games, channel mosaics and the ability to order programming through the remote. The company hasn’t said why it is discontinuing iTV.
