While Comcast [CMCSA] and Cox [COX] last week reported solid 2Q number, the loss of basic subs was cause for some concern on the Street. UBS downgraded Comcast and Cox to "Neutral 2" from "Buy 2" Fri, saying DBS "continues to aggressively target cable’s unbundled subscribers in the near-term." While Cox did especially well with its bundle, UBS noted that 60% of subs remain in the analog camp, and their defection to satellite continues to be cause for concern. Comcast finished the week down 14 cents to $27.30, while Cox closed down 50 cents, to $27.58.
