Aurora Networks has released its chassis-based OLT (Optical Line Termination) GE3424M module, which is complementary to the company’s Node PON solution.

With support for DPoE (DOCSIS Provisioning of EPON) to enable the leveraging of existing DOCSIS OSS systems, the chassis-based OLT GE3424M module is suited for serving customers within 20 km of the headend or hub. The solution enables cable operators to evolve their networks and expand bandwidth capacity. In addition, Aurora Networks’ PON solutions are completely versatile with compatibility extending to HFC (hybrid fiber coaxial), fiber deep and FTTP (fiber-to-the-premises) architectures.

Aurora Networks is displaying the GE3424M chassis-based OLT at the Canitec Expo, May 25-27 in Puebla, Mexico.
