BendBroadband is the latest cable op to ask for a waiver to the FCC’s set-top integration ban. It wants to keep putting into service low-cost, limited-function Motorola DCT-700 digital boxes after July 1, ’07. FCC rules require all boxes deployed after that date to have CableCARDs.
