AT&T has selected Ciena as one of its suppliers for optical and transport equipment needed for its IP-based network. The multi-year selection covers equipment used to expand and maintain AT&T’s metropolitan and long-haul network infrastructure, including use of coherent 100G wavelength capability and OTN switching.
“After conducting an extensive review of multiple optical and transport equipment suppliers, we’re pleased to extend a long-standing relationship with Ciena,” said Tim Harden, president of AT&T’s supply chain and fleet operations, in a statement.
