AT&T Adds First BI Provider To Certified-Solution Ranks
Va.-based business-intelligence (BI) software provider MicroStrategy Incorporated has passed AT&T Certified Solution muster and now can deliver mobile BI products. The company says it passed a comprehensive suite of tests to become an official AT&T Industry and Mobility Alliance Program Partner.
According to MicroStrategy, its mobile-intelligence platform helps companies and organizations build, deploy and maintain mobile apps across a range of solutions by embedding intelligence, transactions and multimedia into apps. "Together, MicroStrategy and AT&T allow enterprises to distribute business reports, dashboards and analytics to large mobile-user populations," comments COO Sanju Bansal.
AT&T ran some 36 interoperability and 26 functionality tests critical for user and network operations — including those for functionality, interoperability, performance and usability — on MicroStrategy’s software platform before vetting MicroStrategy as a partner. According to MicroStrategy, it’s the only BI company in the AT&T partner eco-system to pass its exams.
In separate but related news, Calif.-based DSP Group Inc. was awarded the Wi-Fi Alliance Wi-Fi CERTIFIED seal of approval for its XpandR III multimedia reference design.
The certification recognizes the reference design’s compliance with IEEE radio standards 802.11b/g/n, including WMM (Wi-Fi Multimedia) quality-of-service (QoS) and WPA2 (Wi-Fi Protected Access 2) security programs. The XpandR III 802.11b/g/n form-factor reference design for media and video phones is based on DSP Group’s XpandR III system-on-a-chip (SoC) for connected multimedia screens.
