ARRIS will demonstrate the full scope of its converged IP solutions at the SCTE Cable-Tec Expo in New Orleans, October 20-22. Among the ARRIS solutions on display will be:

Whole Home Solution – The ARRIS Whole Home Solution allows users to receive broadcast and demand driven video, Over the Top video, IP voice and high-speed data content through a Media Gateway platform. Service providers can enable customers with all the applications they desire through just one device, eliminating the need for stacks of boxes and wires running throughout the house. This solution delivers more personalized content to more screens with more features, thus enabling new revenue streams for service providers.

Demand-driven Video, Video Processing & Advanced Advertising Solutions – The ARRIS ConvergeMedia solution and COTS-based XMS Video Server, deliver multi-format video content and advanced advertising services on a single unified platform to subscribers’ screen of choice. This platform also provides support for the latest HTTP communications protocols and caching capabilities. ARRIS Advanced Video Processing products capture and manage multi-format video, including MPEG-4 transcoding with adaptive streaming; deliver 4:1 HD compression; support SDV rate clamping and ad splicing – all resulting in more efficient spectrum utilization and significant QAM channel cost savings.

Fixed Mobile Convergence – The ARRIS Mobility Application Server provides full SIP-based Dual Mode Fixed Mobile Convergence with support for seamless roaming and handover between circuit-switched and IP networks. Offloading voice, messaging, and data services to IP networks reduces operators’ costs and provides opportunities to offer competitive service packages.

Integrated Broadband Solutions – The industry-leading ARRIS C4 and the compact C4c CMTS, both with 8D x 4U channel bonding capabilities, harness the power of DOCSIS 3.0 to deliver more video, more voice and more high-speed data traffic to more subscribers. The ARRIS D5 Universal Edge QAM enables more downstream channels and consumes less power per QAM channel. These rigorously engineered headend solutions increase the capacity of the network without impacting the quality of video service they deliver.  At the premises, ARRIS Touchstone DOCSIS 3.0-based data, wireless, digital voice and home networking solutions complete the end-to-end converged IP experience.

Optimized Optical and HFC Solutions allow cable operators to multiply capacity over existing networks while reducing powering, air conditioning and physical footprint and avoiding physical upgrades. New ARRIS digital return solutions provide robust upstream capacity. End-to-end RFoG solutions provide cable friendly connectivity for Fiber-to-the-Home from existing headend assets, and compatible Gigabit EPON adds ultra high-speed data service, for enhanced business services.

Network, Service and Workforce Assurance – The ARRIS Assurance suite of solutions, including the recently released ServAssure Live!, improves access to system details, monitors network health in real-time, and optimizes the efficiency of customer installs and repair calls.
