ARRIS has added the ARRIS ServAssure Compass Outage Management software to its ServAssure Assurance platform. The triple-play management software is currently in field trials with a top five North American cable MSO and will be on display at the ARRIS Booth at Cable-Tec Expo in New Orleans, this week.

ServAssure Compass is the newest element in the ServAssure portfolio. Its outage detection and management features complement ServAssure Live!’s TSR/CSR diagnostics and repair application and the network performance and analytics solution, ServAssure Advanced.

ServAssure Compass is a multi-service outage management solution for cable operators. Providing accurate, automatic identification of plant and service failures; cable operators can lower Mean-Time-To-Repair (MTTR) through the immediate detection and triage of network and service related problems. Proactive identification and resolution of issues means a reduction in unnecessary truck rolls and the ability to discreetly solve issues before they impact subscribers.

ServAssure Compass offers complete, real-time visibility into the service delivery infrastructure, including an Executive dashboard and detailed outage tracking for up-to-the-minute health status on all aspects of the network. ServAssure Compass enables cable operators to rapidly share service and plant impairment information across the organization. Acting as the network health “source of truth” for all OSS tools and functions, ServAssure Compass empowers the Network Operations Center (NOC) and enables accurate and efficient use of field service personnel.
