ARRIS has announced the unveiling of its new DOCSIS Control Interface for subscriber service provisioning and system management on EPON (Ethernet Passive Optical Network) networks. A live demonstration, presented jointly with Incognito Software and Teknovus, will be held at the ARRIS booth at the SCTE Cable-Tec Expo in Denver, October 28-30.

Together with ARRIS’ FTTMax EPON OLT and ONU equipment, the DOCSIS Control Interface enables cable operators to deploy symmetrical EPON for business services with their existing DOCSIS provisioning system, instead of creating separate back office functions. The demonstration will showcase interoperability of ARRIS’ DOCSIS Control Interface with Incognito’s Broadband Command Center, and middleware from Teknovus.
