For the second year running, ARRIS made the listing of Top Ten International Brands operating in China’s Broadcasting and Telecommunications marketplaces.

The company has had a presence in China for more than 20 years.

Winning companies are selected by senior executives from China’s government ministries that regulate TV, film and voice services as well as by executives from the nation’s top mobile, cable and broadcasting operators. Others on this year’s list include Sony, Panasonic and Fujitsu.

China’s cable operators use ARRIS gear to provide high-speed broadband data access, video on demand and deep fiber optical solutions.  ARRIS employs more than 75 engineers in its Shenzhen R&D facility, and it has offices in Beijing, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Shenzhen.

“We are extremely honored to receive this most prestigious honor,” said Ming Wu, ARRIS’ vice president/China Business Development, when accepting the award on the company’s behalf. “ARRIS has made a long-term strategic commitment to the Chinese telecommunications market and specifically to its rapidly expanding cable segment.”
