Howell’s efforts to coordinate Hallmark Channel’s entire communications team to promote the network’s first original series “Cedar Cove” helped make Hallmark the top cable network during the show’s Saturday time slot. She says the perfect alignment of the management team’s objectives helped achieve the success. “It’s a small, scrappy team that has accomplished a great deal because of that collaboration and alignment,” she says.
How do you define success in the workplace?

Remembering this: It’s Cable, not cancer. We are entertaining millions, not saving lives, so keeping a healthy perspective helps to manage priorities and the things that truly matter, at work and at home.

The organist at Washington Capitals games—you get to motivate an audience through crowd pleasing, clap inducing music while enjoying the best seat at the hockey game.
