Ip’s ingenuity helped shaped the strategy behind Cablevision’s Optimum WiFi service, which allows users mobile access to Cablevision services. The number of Optimum hotspots has doubled in 2013, making it the nation’s largest WiFi network. Meanwhile, when Ip adds a new member to his team, he wants more than just brainpower: “I also look for analytic ability and the realization that sometimes a person just needs to go with their gut.”
