EVP, Brand Marketing, TLC

Winter has remained plenty busy since swapping her GM position in August for the job of EVP, brand marketing. She developed the “Long Island Medium” Tweet to Win – Live Sweepstakes to promote the show’s midseason debut. The plan fueled ratings and generated over 1 million tweets. No wonder Winter would swap jobs for a month with the “Long Island Medium” herself: “How cool would it be to be able to provide that closure and calm for so many people?,” she asks.

What’s your favorite part of your job?
When something you believe in comes together even better than you imagined it. Most recently that happened with a live twitter contest on LI Medium where viewers could win readings—it drove record twitter traffic and ratings.

What’s been the biggest story in cable this year?
Cable really made it clear they are no longer second to network TV. And in many ways network TV is now copying cable more than ever.

Who would you want to swap jobs with for a month and why?
The Long Island Medium, Theresa Caputo—how cool would it be to be able to provide that closure and calm for so many people. But a month is all I think I could handle having all those voices in my head.
