First came the Assoc of Independent Programming Nets; now there’s the Video Access Alliance. Made up of many of AIPN’s members, VAA’s mission (http://www.videoaccessalliance.org) is to advocate the need for more video distribution platforms. It was created in Mar, 1 month after AIPN formed. Tennis Channel, The America Channel, Black Education Network and Outdoor Channel are among VAA’s members. It’s open to independent, emerging and minority nets, content providers, film producers and others. The group presented a forum on the Hill Thurs to discuss the importance of video choice.
