Alcatel-Lucent’s Radio Access Network (RAN) portfolio has been added to Md-based Tecore Networks’ 3G and 4G (LTE) integrated network solutions. Tecore says it will combine the Alcatel-Lucent technology with its iCore Software-Defined Core Network (CN) “to create a comprehensive package tailored for regional and remote mobile carriers worldwide.”

Alcatel-Lucent’s RAN technology also can be integrated into Tecore’s Rural Village System (RVS), a network infrastructure package designed for remote villages and distant locations as well as enhancing the company’s Rapid Deployment System (RDS) used by military and disaster-recovery agencies to build secured networks.
