Matanuska Telephone Association (MTA) has selected Amino Communications as part of its expanded high definition (HD) IP set-top box (STB) deployment. Alaska-based MTA provides over 60,000 lines across its 10,000 square mile network area, offering a range of broadband, IPTV and wireless services to residential and business customers. MTA will deploy Amino’s A130 – an MPEG-4 HD single stream STB – and the A530, an HD DVR.

“At MTA we are making a significant investment to develop our IPTV service,” said Eric Anderson, MTA’s director of engineering, construction and operations, in a statement.
