Adtec Digital plans to showcase its new mediaHUB-HD 422 HD encoder at the 2009 NAB Show. The encoder is designed to support the MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 AVC contribution, distribution and studio encoding applications. It is designed to encode any combination of HD and SD, MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 AVC with 4:2:0 and 4:2:2 color space.

Audio support includes four pairs of SDI and AES audio plus two pairs of analog audio inputs. Audio CODEC support includes dual Dolby Digital and quad MPEG-1 Layer 2 encoding plus dual channel Dolby E/5.1 passthrough. A free to air or BISS 1/E encrypted single channel per carrier (SCPC) DVB compliant MPEG-2 transport stream is output via ASI and GIGE with SMPTE 2022 FEC concurrently.
