AdGorilla and LocalToolbox have announced a strategic distribution and ad sales partnership for iCapture push2call technology. LocalToolbox, a provider of Web portals for the cable industry, will add AdGorilla’s iCapture push2call services to its arsenal of technology options. AdGorilla will handle ad sales.

iCapture is designed to allow any visitor to a cable operator’s Web portal to request a phone call from customer service to subscribe, upgrade a bundled package, request support, etc. The customer provides her phone number (along with other optional information), and her phone rings immediately. As she’s being connected to the operator’s customer service team, a full motion, contextually relevant video advertisement or other message from a content provider plays in the browser, with the same look and feel as the operator’s Web site. The message can be of any length, but 15 or 30 seconds is typical. The synchronized sound for the video plays over the telephone connection. The iCapture service is provided to the Web site owner at no cost, and the owner receives a portion of the video inventory for cross-promotional purposes.
