Cheetah Technologies is enhancing its Network Tracker Plus, which debuted at last fall’s SCTE Cable-Tec Expo, with CheetahXD 4.0 software, a network-performance-management system the company says “enhances a service provider’s control over, and view of, activities occurring on its networks.”?

Network Tracker Plus offers suite of testing and reporting capabilities aimed at analyzing analog video, DOCSIS data and quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) digital video channels. Here’s what CheetahXD 4.0 with Network Tracker Plus can do:

>> Automate the semi-annual FCC proof of performance test process;
>> Performance monitoring of mission critical locations, such as high-value neighborhoods, high-density population centers and network trouble spots;
>> Real-time monitoring for difficult customer network- or content-troubleshooting issues;
>> Help to ensure workforce quality assurance to eliminate inadvertent workforce-caused outages; and
>> Provide long-term system analysis and scorecards at critical network health points.? ?

“CheetahXD 4.0 is our major application software release for 2012. Within it, we are adding additional value through GIS presentation of the network, QAM video carrier analysis, expanded frequency analysis to 1 GHz and much more,” note Steve Day, senior vice president/Marketing & Strategic Planning. “For our existing licensed customers and for our new customers, this provides the only management platform capable of a 360 (degree) view of the network, including optical network, RF network, power supplies and HFC system analysis.”?
