Best Advice in 7 Words or Less: Use your ears more than your mouth.

Why Him? Outdoor saw big international growth this year as Brown continued to steer the network’s global expansion with partners London-based Chello Zone and the other with Singapore-based Multi Channels Asia. Most recent launches include Serbia, Ukraine and parts of Asia to bring Outdoor’s non-U.S. subscribers to 4.5 million. Back at home, there were Comcast migrations in both the Chicago and Northeast markets.

HD Growth: Strengthened by the network’s commitment to 100% native content, its HD service now reaches 10 million domestic homes, an increase of nearly 6 million homes in roughly two years.

Year Ahead: Distribution will be hard-won, but Brown’s innovative strategy is working.
