8 | THE INNOVATORS
Why Them? Cox kicked off 2013 with a big announcement at CES: Its next-generation mobile app delivering 90 live TV channels, VOD content, and TV and tablet integration, including the ability to use the tablet as a remote. That’s just part of Esser and Campbell’s ongoing efforts to give customers an excellent experience. It has paid off, with the MSO often placing ahead of the pack in customer satisfaction surveys. Cox led the scores among major cable operators in this year’s American Customer Satisfaction Index, and it performed well in J.D. Power’s telephone customer satisfaction survey this past fall. Meanwhile, both have also shown leadership when it comes to going green, with multiple conservation initiatives underway, including a recent solar roof installation at a Cox facility in Rhode Island.
