Why Them? Credit for the wildly successful rebrand of Telemundo—the first in more than a decade—goes directly to this team. Equally impressive is the network’s focus on original programming, which Telemundo upped by 40% in the 2012-13 season. Hernández oversees all sales, marketing and domestic growth platforms for the consolidated Telemundo network and stations group. Her boss Romano, who oversaw the network through record-breaking ratings in 2012, led Telemundo to its best quarter in the network’s history for Q1 2013, up 7% over the same period a year ago. Competition for U.S. Hispanic viewers is getting fiercer, but this team is clearly ready for the fight.
