Why Him? It’s hard to keep up with this international jetsetter as he oversees all operations of FIC including Fox and Fox Sports—the latter of which is in full-throttle in Latin America and Asia with parent News Corp.’s acquisition of ESPN/Star Sports. Also in Lopez’s portfolio is National Geographic Channel, FX, Fox Life, Nat Geo Wild, MovieCity and Star Movies. Together, the networks reach 1.4 billion subscribers through 300-plus channels in Latin America, Europe, Asia/Pacific, Africa and the Middle East. He also oversees FIC’s U.S. Hispanic cable networks including Fox Deportes, Nat Geo Mundo and MundoFox, the Spanish-language broadcast joint venture with the Colombia-based RCN that launched last summer (and competing against stalwarts Telemundo and Univision). MundoFox is already standing out with plans to launch a Hispanic version of “The X Factor” this summer and adopt FX police drama “The Bridge.”

I wish Congress would just… strengthen copyrights. ?
