Why Him? No doubt about it. Cohen has influence, whether he’s talking up Comcast’s low-cost broadband program Internet Essentials to community leaders and parents or speaking at the U.S. Conference of Mayors’ annual Innovation Summit alongside SecondMuse’s Michael Brennan (who leads the National Day of Civic Hacking). His pet project these days seems to be telling the story of Comcast and cable’s contributions to closing the digital divide. Cohen continues to work closely with nonprofits such as United Way, Big Brothers Big Sisters of America and City Year. Also of import for the avid Phillies fan: helping to secure additional multicultural programming for Comcast—one of its FCC conditions for the NBCU transaction. ?
