November treated many cable nets quite well, and ’10 has been pretty nice to the industry too. All the following items relate to Nov ratings save for the last, as LeBron returned home to OH on Dec 2.
Oxygen delivered its best Nov ever through double-digit growth among all key demos including women 18-34 (+62%), 18-34s (+59%) and women 18-49 (+31%). The net also claimed its youngest month ever in prime (35.5 years). — Bravo enjoyed a record-breaking Nov on double-digit growth among all main demos and a 13% increase in prime total viewership. — E!’s most-watched and highest-rated Nov ever featured a 0.35 HH rating and 394K total viewers in total day. — With 1.6mln total viewers, Nick at Nite notched its most-watched Nov in history. — Disney XD delivered its largest prime and total day Nov on record in total viewers and across all target kids and boys demos, while ABC Family recorded best-ever Nov prime deliveries in total viewers, 18-34s, 18-49s and 12-34s. — More than 25mln viewers tuned into Hallmark Channel during Thanksgiving week, and the net’s original “Debbie Macomber’s Call Me Mrs. Miracle” the week’s highest-rated movie among all ad-supported cable nets with a 3.0/2.65mln. — LeBron James’ return to jilted Cleveland with the Miami Heat earned big-time ratings for TNT, delivering 7.05mln total viewers, 4.87mln homes and a 4.2 HH rating. Through 14 NBA games this season, the net’s averaging 2.85mln total viewers (+45%) and a 1.8 HH rating (+38%).
