Why Him? The edge-of-your-seat “Homeland” would be enough to earn Nevins a spot in our upper echelon, but this creative exec brings so much more than the espionage series to Showtime. Nevins, who joined Showtime in summer 2010, hit the ground running by developing, acquiring and supervising all aspects of the network’s programming, and the results have been impressive. In addition to the critically acclaimed series about terrorism in the Homeland, Nevins has overseen “The Big C,” “Shameless,” “Episodes,” “The Borgias,” and “House of Lies.” Under his leadership, Showtime has become the first stop for some of the industry’s most creative talent.
