Sales of its new Apple TV device will top 1 million units later this week, Apple says, with a price point of $99.

According to the house that Jobs built, iTunes users now are renting and purchasing more than 400,000 TV episodes and more than 150,000 movies per day.

And with the addition of the AirPlay app, recently available in iOS 4.2, users can stream music, video and photos from an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch to the Apple TV box. Users can also control Apple TV with their iPads, iPhones or iPod touches using the Remote app, available for free on the App Store site.
