It's been a long time coming. President Biden finally named Jessica Rosenworcel as his permanent FCC Chair, making her the first woman to serve in the position. She'll be joined by Gigi Sohn, Tom Wheeler's former Chief Counsel who remains a strong voice in cable circles. A full Commission makes Washington a far more interesting place for cable operators like Comcast, who is waiting on a response to its FCC petition asking the agency to investigate whether or not Nexstar is in violation of the broadcast audience cap.
