The Hawaiian Telcom-Nexstar spat at the FCC continued on last week. Nexstar defended itself in a filing, claiming that the telco mischaracterized certain facts regarding getting it to back away from FCC action. The broadcast giant also claimed Hawaiian Telcom failed to meet the burden of proof in its argument that Nexstar didn’t negotiate its retransmission consent agreement in good faith. Hawaiian Telcom has been among providers offering assistance to customers as the state grapples with devastating wildfires, with Charter, AT&T and Verizon offering their help to keep those impacted informed.
