The English-language Asian American network ChimeTV is preparing for launch in late 2022, and CEO Faith Bautista leading the charge as the service’s leadership team is finalized. Charter already signed as an affiliate at launch, and both MVPDs and OTT platforms are in the mix as well. Another minority-focused network is possibly making its next move as Byron Allen’s Allen Media Group emerged as the top candidate to buy Black News Channel for $11 million. BNC closed operations on March 25 and filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
