The Skinny

The first round of Fubo’s boxing match against the Venu Sports jv ended with a judge granting a motion for a preliminary injunction. The court determined Fubo is “likely to be successful in proving its claims” that the jv would violate antitrust laws. The fight is far from over though as the jv’s partners—Disney, Fox and Warner Bros. Discovery—will appeal the decision. The ruling could very well make its way into discussions happening at The Independent Show, which kicked off this week in Nashville.
