Fubo is charging on with its antitrust lawsuit against the programmers behind the Venu Sports jv, and all eyes are on an August hearing that will contemplate Fubo’s motion for a preliminary injunction. But there are a lot of hurdles to maneuver before then, and the negotiations over what each side needs to make their cases are creating a tense start to the summer. Venu will be yet another entrant into a crowded streaming marketplace, and Warner Bros. Discovery’s David Zaslav believes consolidation among its participants is inevitable.
