As those on the hill continue to work on the American Privacy Rights Act, it’s apparent that folks on both sides of the aisle are prioritizing the creation of a national data privacy framework. APRA has gotten support from many in addition to endorsements from NCTA, NAB and CTIA, but sponsors of the bill know there are still flaws in it and a long road remains ahead. A long road also remains in front of companies trying to combat the rising costs of streaming services for their broadband users. Comcast is helping its customers out with the introduction of the StreamSaver bundle that comes with Peacock Premium, Netflix Standard with ads and Apple TV+.
