It may have taken nearly two months of public back and forth, but Newsmax and DirecTV have made up. The Conservative-leaning network returned to the MVPD’s video offerings last week, but the pathway to get to the finish line was contentious, and a lot of folks will keep their eyes peeled for Newsmax’s upcoming renewals to see if it’ll continue efforts to implement an annual per sub fee. While Newsmax cleared up its future, the same can’t be said about RSNs despite having just two days until first pitch as Diamond Sports Group is in the midst of Chapter 11 and Warner Bros. Discovery wants to depart the business altogether.
