Gray Television is back on the M&A train, announcing a $2.7 billion acquisition of Meredith's local media assets just three months after its Quincy Media buy. It's also earnings season. Broadband is still getting a lot of attention in 1Q reports, but mobile is becoming a rising star among cable operators. Charter says it wants to do the same thing with mobile that it did with wireline voice--become the predominant carrier in its markets.
