The merger merry-go-round now includes Charter and Liberty Broadband. The two officially exchanged proposals after Charter submitted an initial non-binding proposal for an all-stock transaction earlier this month. A deal might not be finalized until 2027, but there are questions about whether Liberty-owned GCI will be included in the deal, which would warrant FCC approval if so. Speaking of the FCC, folks are protesting the Commission’s proposed rules that seek to provide better transparency over the use of AI-generated content in political ads.
