The DirecTV-Disney carriage spat continues despite predictions that a deal would be reached before the Week 1 edition of “Monday Night Football.” Talks are ongoing, but DirecTV has taken its frustrations to the FCC after filing a complaint accusing Disney of negotiating in bad faith. Meanwhile, Verizon and Frontier Communications were able to cross the finish line as Verizon revealed it’s acquiring the company in an all-cash deal worth $20 billion.
