Hallmark Channel celebrated its 25th anniversary on air, and President Darren Abbott shared his long-term vision, which includes Hallmark+, new programming and broader brand extensions. Meanwhile, the FCC voted to scrap the 39% national broadcast ownership cap, replacing it with a case-by-case approach. The new framework could give broadcasters more room to pursue deals, although legal challenges are likely to complicate the path forward.
