Fiber Connect 2024 is officially underway in Nashville, and NTIA Administrator Alan Davidson talked about how the association is getting more flexible when it comes to BEAD. While fiber is still the preference, NTIA will have a new guideline document in the next few weeks outlining a process for using alternative technologies such as unlicensed wireless or LEO satellite. Charter is another organization that’s been pivoting lately, with the company adjusting to a post-Affordable Connectivity Program world.
