Paramount Global was getting ready for a shakeup as it moved through merger negotiations with Skydance Media, but a big change came early. The company confirmed Bob Bakish would be stepping down as CEO shortly before its brief, eight-and-a-half-minute earnings call. What hasn’t been brief is the battle of Title II at the FCC. The Commission voted 3-2 to reclassify broadband as a common carrier service, which is set to begin a procession of battles in court.
