While the fate of the Affordable Connectivity Program hangs in the balance, Cox Communications is firm in its faith that broadband access is crucial for rural Americans. President Mark Greatrex visited D.C. to discuss a survey highlighting broadband’s importance in bridging the digital divide, and though ACP wasn’t mentioned during the event, there was still an overarching theme of “It takes a village.” It’s also going to take a village to determine where sports media will be in a few years. The House Communications Subcommittee hosted a hearing to identify the advantages and disadvantages of sports’ shift to put games on streaming platforms.
